Why Your Big Accomplishments Feel Small

“I thought it would be different.” You hear this often, and perhaps it’s a relatable experience. Despite the many distress flares, successful women shoot into the sky. You can’t help but daydream. And unfortunately, it’s easy to associate arbitrary feelings towards those accomplishments -- quitting your job, getting that promotion, earning 6-figures.
The planning phase of life on your own terms is equally, if not more, important than designing it. Skillful life coaches, thoughtful interior designers, seasoned photographers all incorporate planning into their process. So what makes blueprinting your life any different?
“I don’t have enough time to daydream” or “her goal seems exciting. I’ll aim for that.” The downfall of this shortcut is when you get there, you’ll realize you’re living someone else’s life. Then it’s back to the drawing board.
Our Society was born from my realization of “I don’t know what I want, but I know it’s not this.” At that time, climbing the corporate ladder made sense. It provided me with a goal, stability, and a paved path that was easy to follow. Allowing myself to finally look up, I realized that I was chasing someone else’s dream. Trying to force my identity into a mold that sounded great but felt terrible.
Exploring what I’d rather be doing with my life opened so many possibilities, which was also incredibly overwhelming. Falling into the wormhole of influencers, their lifestyle was such a turn-on. YouTubers worked tirelessly on creating entertaining content, bloggers were writing informative pieces, and social media lifestyle gurus provided helpful tips. Yet… when it was my turn, it was more work than fun.
My heart wasn’t in it, so I said… “Nah, I’m good.”
But designing life is my purpose, and sharing my story to inspire others to do the same is my calling. I’ve been documenting my personal journey on this topic for three years now. And what I’ve come to realize is regardless of how long you’ve been: operating your business, working for your employer, or running a household, you’ll continue to play Chutes and Ladders until you find your authenticity and the life you were meant to live.
We’re designing a roadmap that’s unlike any other programming out there. Yes, it focuses on bootstrapping and scaling a profitable business. And YES! It also includes personal development to uncover what you authentically want in your life.
This program will place you on a specific point of our Life by Design Scale.
