How F.I.R.E. Will Grant You Financial Freedom
What do you know about F.I.R.E.? My introduction to this lifestyle was through a YouTube video titled "How To Live Frugally and Achieve Financial Independence." Graham Stephan is a 28-year-old millionaire with over $120,000,000 in residential real estate sales since 2008. Yet he continues to live frugally. What does he do with all that money?
Well, aside from his $0.20 coffee, Graham puts his money to work through rental properties and other investments. His goal is to live off passive income. F.I.R.E. stands for Financially Independent Retire Early. Although this lifestyle is extreme, this type of discipline allows hard-working individuals to retire as early as 35-years-old.
Dave Ramsey writes a fantastic introduction to this lifestyle. "F.I.R.E. stands for "Financial Independence, Retire Early." The goal is to save and invest very aggressively—somewhere between 50–75% of your income—so you can retire sometime in your 30s or 40s."
Chelsea Stratso reminded me about this lifestyle as we spoke about her upcoming workshop on February 22, 2020. Although the definition of a "healthy money mindset" may not equate to F.I.R.E., there's a lot of commonalities. Getting clear on your financial goals that support your ideal lifestyle demands focus.
On our podcast "How to Cultivate a Healthy Money Mindset," Chelsea Stratso breaks down how to achieve financial independence. Although Oak + Pine's caters to the startup world, Chelsea's "Cultivating a Healthy Money Mindset" workshop provides practical habits for anyone who is working towards financial freedom.
