Known for NCIS: Hawaii and extensive theater work, her company, Film Camp Productions, champions gender-balanced hiring. She aims to continue creating inclusive entertainment.
Keynote Speaker
I'm Tracy Lawrence, former CEO/co-founder of Chewse, started in my dorm at 20 to ensure no one ate alone. Named Forbes 30 Under 30, I raised $40M and grew Chewse to 300 employees before selling at 30. Made mistakes due to lack of trust in a tough business world. Now mentoring to guide early-stage entrepreneurs so others don’t have to feel alone like I did at the early stages.
Crafting Your Pitch
Maitri Carmichael founded and sold two biotech companies, including CureTogether, which was acquired by 23andMe. Currently, she's commercializing Hawai'i's first microbiome test and helping lead the Hawai'i Angels Screening Committee. Beyond biotech, she is a trained chef and a supporter of neurodivergent minds.
The Investors View
Paulette Jencks, founder of Future of Parent, has advised startups for nearly a decade, focusing on family tech. She helped launch Kidstir and led partnerships at a wellness company acquired by Spring Health. Dedicated to improving workplaces for parents, Paulette mentors at Blue Startups and is a member of Hawaii Angels and Angels.VC. She holds an MBA from Cornell and lives in Honolulu with her family.
